Fire training and assessment, modernised after a decade in service.

A fire training and assessment application we built over a decade ago, modernised and still developed with Towerfire today.

The problem

Fire training and assessment is a compliance record before it is anything else: who was trained, on what, and when they are next due. Towerfire needed that to be reliable and quick to produce, and a decade later needed it carried forward without losing everything the original system had learned about how the business works.

Training delivered, not just recorded

We built Towerfire an application that both delivers the training and holds the record of it. A learner works through the chapters, sits the exam, and earns the certificate in one flow — and because the pass mark is 100%, the record on the other side genuinely means the person knows the material. Sessions resume where they were left, so a shift interruption does not cost someone their progress.

Modernisation

More than a decade in, we rebuilt the application on a modern stack rather than replacing it. The operational knowledge in the original system was worth keeping; the platform underneath it was not.
